Over the last several weeks, Farm girl has made a few projects using vinyl mesh. She thought you might like to see them.
The first project was a market bag. ( It could be used as a beach bag or tote) The pattern was free from a You Tube video make by “The Fabric Junction” . Terry did a great job of walking you through the project step by step. One side of the bag has a zippered pocket and the other side is mesh. The handles are long enough that you can carry the bag on your shoulder.
All it took to make the bag was a 7” zipper, 1/2 yard roll vinyl mesh , 3 meter of webbing, and .6 meter of cotton fabric. Farm Girl Quilts carries a number of of different colours of vinyl mesh and webbing.
The second project was a project bag. It was a downloadable pattern made by “Sew Michelle” called “Sew Many Project Caddy”.
This project was a little more time consuming but the final project was worth the extra work. The project bag has both zippered pockets and open pockets on both sides of the bag. There is room for your fabric and supplies. Put everything you need in this bag and you will never loose a thing. The pattern had lots of pictures and great instructions. It even includes a download so you can embroider the design on the outside of the bag. To purchase this pattern, check out Sew Michelle.com
