Farm girl was able to go on a wonderful quilting vacation with some good friends. We attended the 9th Anniversary party of the Missouri Star Quilt Company in Hamilton, Missouri. Like many of you, I like to watch the You Tube videos that Jenny hosts. We were lucky enough to meet Jenny Doan. She is such a nice lady and her stores are better than we imagined. We also had the opportunity to meet some fabric reps and designers. What great fun!
We took some time to visit other quilt shops in the area. Boy were there some good ones! We made a special visit to Angela Walters. Angela is a quilting instructor, author and the host of the Midnight Quilt Show. Angela is a great instructor and shares so much information with her students. Farm Girl has taken some classes with her and they are well worth the money you spend. Her shop "Quilting is My Therapy" is in the historical district of Liberty, Missouri. The high ceilings in her shop showcase many of her quilts. Take some time and really look at her quilting. It is amazing!
Angela's quilts are so inspiring! And believe it or not she has made me appreciate the more modern designs. She will even autograph one of her books for you.
